Installing Pre-Pasted PRO wallpaper is quick, clean, and simple — no messy glue needed! Follow these easy steps for a perfect finish.
Wall Preparation: Make sure your wall is clean, smooth, and dry. Remove dust, old wallpaper, or flaking paint. Fill cracks and sand rough spots for a perfect surface. See image (A) for tools that might help you with the installation.
Application: Lay the wallpaper face down and apply water liberally to adhesive side with a spray bottle (B). Allow to sit for 2 - 3 minutes before applying to the wall (C). Apply the graphic to the wall by first aligning it to desired position. Smooth out the wallpaper using a wide squeegee or wallpaper smoother (available from most home décor and hardware stores). Avoid pressing your fingers into the surface or using excessive force with squeegee as this will make indentations or force the adhesive out the sides of the wallpaper.
It is important to smoothen out all air bubbles but do not overwork the application. Do not be alarmed if further little bubbles form shortly after application, or if there are ripples in the surface when the wallpaper is still wet. Smooth out severe bubbles and ripples with your squeegee, the rest will disappear when the wallpaper dries overnight.
Use only a new sharp blade to carefully trim top, bottom and the overlap. Trimming when wet may result in the graphic surface catching and tearing, even with the sharpest blade, so be careful.
Clean-up: It is normal for some adhesive to leak out the sides of the drops during application. These can be wiped away using a damp sponge or cloth.
Removal: To remove, wet the wallpaper with a spray bottle or damp sponge. Wait about 5 minutes, then gently peel it off. Any leftover adhesive can be wiped away with a damp cloth — no special tools needed! Some traces of adhesive will be left on the wall which can be wiped away using a damp sponge.

Pick a smooth, dry and clean surface – The most traditional places include any wall, door or window. When placing your self-adhesive wallpaper on a standard painted wall make sure the wall has been previously primed prior to painting (otherwise the paint or adhesive may come off). Concerning newly painted surfaces, make sure you allow 30 days for out gassing preventing bubbling. If you place your self-adhesive wallpaper on a pebbly, textured surface that has used eggshell paint or a very porous surface (i.e. brick, cement walls, stucco), you may receive poor results.
Clean it before you stick it: Use a warm, damp cloth or sponge to clean the wall surface or window and allow it to completely dry. Make sure all previous cleaning solutions are completely gone. You can remove and replace the self-adhesive wallpaper multiple times; however, once the adhesive collects too much dust, dirt or fibers it will become less effective and it may not stick as well to your surface.
Peel & stick it: Depending on the size of your self-adhesive wallpaper, it may be helpful to have two people install it. Try not to let the adhesive come together, or let the self-adhesive wallpaper fold up against itself. It's okay if it does, you can separate it by carefully pulling it apart and you may want two people to do this on larger images. Start at the top of your self-adhesive wallpaper and pull down approximately 25 cm of the backing paper and crease the back of the backing paper. Simply apply the 25 cm of exposed adhesive area to your chosen location. It can be repositioned several times. Once in the right position then continue to slowly pull the backing paper downward in 20 - 30 cm increments, smoothing the material as you go. Depending on the size, it may be helpful if one person pulls down the backing paper while the other smoothes the image on the surface. You can use a plastic dry wall squeegee to smooth out any bubbles. If there are any bubbles or wrinkles, you can lightly press or smooth them out, or just peel back that area and re-apply.
Please Note: Pressing too hard will not damage the material; however, it may cause your hands to gather ink (due to the natural oils on your hands), and could transfer from your hands onto another surface.
Advice: If a bubble re-appears over the next day or two, pressing and lightly rubbing can remove it. This can happen occasionally if oil, dirt, or dust is on your surface. Use a sewing pin to pop the bubble, and then smooth it out with your fingers in a circular motion. In the very rare instance that bubbles keep re-appearing, you may want to move your Photo Tex to another area as there is something preventing the adhesive to stick. Most causes of bubbles are because the wall was painted within the last 30 days or cleaning chemicals were used prior.
